LCPD investigating murder at Iris Street apartment complex

Good Evening,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for Nightcast.

An overnight murder claims the life of an 18 year old and sends another man to jail.  It happened at an apartment complex on Iris Street. Lake Charles Police tell us it's a location they're very familiar with – having been called there more than 70 times over the past two years. KPLC's Gerron Jordan has this story.

Plus, more from New Orleans where the car of a missing teacher was found with a woman's body inside.

We also have several stories that will make you smile including a man who is taking a horse and buggy across country thanking veterans, including one very special WWII vet.

And after a wet weekend, we'll be drying out with our first mini heat wave. Meteorologist Cedric Haynes has the latest.

We'll see you tonight at ten for all of these stories and more. Until then we're always online at kplctv.com.
