CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

A Lake Charles attorney accused of rape in a 2011 case has been indicted by a Calcasieu Parish grand jury.

Jonathan Lane Johnson, 32, faces a forcible rape charge in 14th Judicial District Court.

The grand jury convened on Friday afternoon.

Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office officials have recused themselves from the case because of Johnson's former employment as a law clerk.

Johnson is accused of drugging a woman and raping her, authorities say.

Bond is set at $150,000 in the case and authorities said an arrest warrant has been issued.

Johnson was originally charged with simple rape. Bond had initially been set at $25,000.
