Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

Lafayette Police are searching for a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery of a home on Paradise Street. Authorities tell us one suspect was shot and killed in a gunfire exchange with the homeowner while the other suspect ran away. We'll have more at noon, and you can read the story HERE.

Do you have flood insurance? Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon stopped by KPLC today to talk about why flood insurance is so important in this part of the country.

Also today, the busiest month for weddings is upon us, and while the traditions of the ceremony itself have changed very little, technology has become almost as essential as the exchanging of vows.

Plus, a story of unrequited love has become a Colorado tourist attraction. A curious young bull moose appears to have fallen hard – for a statue!

In weather, Ben tells me to expect another very hot day with highs into the low to mid 90s.   He doesn't think we'll get much of a chance of rain until tomorrow. You can find our more on what's in store weather-wise during Ben's live, local forecast at noon.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and have a great day!
