ACADIA PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

Acadia Parish authorities have made an arrest in the case involving the discovery of a body on Thursday in the community of Roberts Cove.

According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, 36-year-old Henry Roberto Dubon, of Crowley, has been arrested and charged with the first-degree murder and armed robbery of 31-year-old Tomas Mendoza, of Honduras.

Mendoza's badly decomposed body was found Thursday by a juvenile on a four-wheeler at an oil well site.

Dubon allegedly robbed Mendoza of an undetermined amount of cash during the robbery prior to his death.

Authorities said Mendoza had been stabbed with multiple wounds to his upper body.

Dubon is being held in the Acadia Parish jail with no bond. He was also charged with aggravated assault in an unrelated incident. Bond on that charge was set at $50,000.
