Firefighter cadets graduate from training program

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

The Lake Charles Fire Department Training Academy recently had eight cadets graduate from their 20-week training program on Friday, May 31.

Of those eight graduates, seven of the cadets were from the Lake Charles Fire Department and one of the cadets was from Carlyss Fire Department.

Among the graduates were Glenn Brown, Roger Butterfield, Jared Chandler, Derick Malveaux, Tre Winters, Eric Cooley, Christopher Smith and Jason Willis.

The cadets received several certifications from LSU during their academy training.
