Crowley authorities looking for suspect in attempted murders

CROWLEY, LA (KPLC) -

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is seeking the public's help in locating a man wanted in two attempted murders in Crowley.

According to a news release from authorities, the Crowley Police Department is seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 18-year-old Derrian Tezeno, a black male.

Tezeno is 5-feet, 9-inches and weighs 190 pounds.

Authorities say he is clean-shaven and is believed to have a clean-shaven head.

His last known address was Meadows Apartments #35 in Crowley.

Authorities say Tezeno is wanted for the April 2 attempted first-degree murders of two individuals at Westwood Apartments in Crowley.

Tezeno should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.

Those with information in the case are asked to call the tips line at 789-TIPS/789-8477.

Callers will remain anonymous and can receive up to a $1,000 cash reward.

    Police have confirmed a man died earlier this week inside the Sulphur City Jail. According to Mel Estess, spokesman for the Sulphur Police Department, the man was arrested Tuesday, put in a cell alone, and died. Police are not giving any word on how he died or releasing his identity. The coroner's report is not complete according to Estess. KPLC will update this story as more information becomes available.
