Bond Hearing

Hello everyone. This is Cynthia Arceneaux from the KPLC newsroom. The Oberlin woman and her boyfriend, who are accused in the death of her two year old toddler, appeared in court today for a bond hearing. Brandi Holyfield and Bobby Davis, Jr. were issued bonds of 200,000 dollars each in the April death of little Tatiana Holyfield.  Allen Parish District Attorney Todd Nesom says a formal arraignment is the next step.

A Welsh man was killed last night in a crash in Jeff Davis Parish. State Police identify the victim as 45 year old Daniel Hicks, Jr. Troopers say Hicks was killed when his pickup went off the road and struck a utility pole on State Highway 1131.
