Legislating wombs in Louisiana women

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*Surrogate births in Louisiana could face new regulations.  The proposed bill received overwhelming support from the house and senate and now goes to Governor Jindal's desk for approval.  It would limit surrogacy to married couples - consisting of a man and a woman - who cannot otherwise get pregnant.

*Some state house members are saying their first impressions of the senate's proposed budget are triggering red flags.  We'll find out the areas they say are problematic and what we can expect in the week ahead.

*Terrifying moments in Central Texas, when a man is killed by bees.  They attacked a man while he was driving his tractor.

*A mother and her boyfriend will appear before an Allen Parish judge today after being accused in the death of two-year-old Tatyiana Holyfield.  She was killed in April - apparently burned and beaten.

*On a much lighter note, we're opening up the Sunrise Pet Shop this morning to introduce you to an animal desperately in need of a new home.

Make it a Sunrise day!
