Moss Bluff man sentenced to life in prison in murder case

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) - A Moss Bluff man was sentenced to life in a murder case on Thursday, according to a news release from the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office.

Eric Bello, 41, will serve life in prison without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension in the November 2008 death of a family member.

A jury found him guilty of second-degree murder on May 23.

Officials said Bello's life sentence will be served with the Louisiana Department of Corrections.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney David Kimball for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office with the assistance of Assistant District Attorney Brett Sandifer.
