Swashbucklers To Finish Season On Road - KPLC 7 News, Lake Charles, Louisiana

Swashbucklers To Finish Season On Road

Last Friday we learned that the Louisiana Swashbucklers, the Lake Area's only professional sports team, had canceled its final home game and would not return next season.

Now we are learning that the Swashbucklers will go ahead and finish out the regular season.

The Swashbucklers, who are 4-and-4 on the season, will travel to Huntsville, Alabama to play the Alabama Hammers on Saturday, June 1st.

The team will also play its final two scheduled games, both on the road. The Swashbucklers will play the Knoxville Nighthawks in Tennessee on June 8th and then the Richmond Raiders in Virginia.

There are also plans for the team to make up that cancelled home game against the Hammers, although it would not be in Lake Charles.

Stay tuned.
