Lake Charles man pleads guilty to stalking, DWI

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A Lake Charles man has pleaded guilty to stalking and drunken driving charges in 14th Judicial District Court.

Judge Ron Ware sentenced 33-year-old Garrett Lumpkin to an 18-month suspended prison sentence and two years of probation.

Lumpkin was charged with DWI in 2012 and cyberstalking in 2010.

In a Tuesday court hearing, the victim said Lumpkin sent her a video of him cutting up her clothing with a chainsaw.

He also allegedly stood outside her home with duct tape on his mouth, among other alleged harassment.
