Revisiting Holly Beach to see post-Rita progress

Good Tuesday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*Hurricane Rita wiped out Holly Beach nearly eight years ago in Cameron Parish, but many people decided to rebuild.  This morning we'll take you on a tour of the beach just a few days out from the start of a new hurricane season.

*Also in Cameron Parish, a constable there is accused of soliciting prostitutes at a Bossier City hotel.  He is telling 7News it is all a mishap and he is working to clear his name.

*New this morning, State Police Troop D says a hit-and-run in Moss Bluff ends with the driver of a truck crashing into a home.  See the dramatic video and find out what led to the crash.

Make it a Sunrise day!

Through the rest of the day today expect cloudy and muggy conditions. Winds will continue to gust up to 20 mph through the remainder of the day. Rain chances remain about the same through the rest of the day as those bands of rain from the tropical wave move across the area.  The rain does taper off slightly during the overnight hours but is still a factor come tomorrow.
