TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

A truck is left heavily damaged after it slammed into a Tyler business early Sunday morning.

The accident happened in the 1500 block of W Grand Blvd. in Tyler around 1am Sunday. Witnesses tell KLTV 7 two trucks were racing on Grande when one of the trucks lost control, rolled several times and crashed into the Tyler Area Builder's Association building.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of the truck was removed and was seen conscious and speaking, but was taken to an area hospital. Tyler Police say that his injuries were non-life threatening.

Officials with the Tyler Area Builders Association tell KLTV 7 that there is "excessive damage and the east corner of the building is gone". However they did add that the open house scheduled for 11am Tuesday to open the annual "Parade of Homes" is still scheduled to take place on time.
