The McNeese baseball team only won 1 of 3 games against Southeastern this weekend,
but that win was enough to get the Cowboys a spot in the Southland Conference tournament,
and the winning pitcher in that game was Bryce Kingsley, the Southland freshman of the year.
Kingsley is 8-and-5 on the season with a 2.57 ERA. He struck out 60 batters in 94 and two-thirds innings, and he was at his best when the Cowboys needed him most, allowing just one run in a complete game victory over the Lions on Friday night.
Kingsley was an All-American at Barbe just last season, and now he is one of the top pitchers in the Southland Conference.
