The end of the regular season was full of drama for the McNeese State baseball team.

Even after their final game was over, the Cowboys still didn't know if they were going to the Southland Conference tournament ... Or going home for the summer.

The McNeese Baseball team is headed to Sugar Land, Texas for the Southland Tournament. But not before sweating it out and having to root for an unusual ally.

Going into the Southland Tournament as the 8th seed, some would believe McNeese would have a nothing to lose mentality. But instead they feel that they have even more to prove.

And with the last two weeks being do or die for the Pokes to make postseason play, it could also serve as some momentum as they go for a Southland title.
