CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) - The woman blamed for a deadly crash on U.S. 171 last year has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide charges.
Megan Schexnider pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of felony vehicular homicide.
Louisiana State Police authorities say Schexnider had drugs in her system when her SUV slammed into a van stopped on U.S. 171 in April 2012.
The impact killed 44-year-old Vincent Austin.
His 13-year-old daughter, Dalensia Rose, also died from the crash.
Court officials confirm Schexnider will be sentenced on July 26.
