Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

A new audit says the Governor's push to privatize six hospitals in the LSU system would cost the state $42 million for layoff costs. The audit was released this morning and says LSU told auditors the administration knows of projected costs and is seeking funding to cover the expense. Read more about it HERE.

Also today, love bugs are in the air and two researchers are happy about it. That's because they're using the bug season to help find a way to trap those annoying pests.

Plus, a host of do-it-yourself apps are available for all of your summer projects. We'll have a rundown of where to find them and show you how they work.

In weather, Ben tells me we'll have plenty of sunshine today with highs in the low 80's by this afternoon. It should be clear and cool tonight, but what about the rest of the work week? Are there any chances of more rain for our area?   Get all the answers during Ben's live, local forecast at noon.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and have a great day!
