Stormy, stormy night!

Hail in South Lake Charles Hail in South Lake Charles

Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

It was a very stormy night for many of us. We've had reports of hail and damaging winds along with all the rain.  At noon we'll take a look at some of the damage. Many of you sent in your pictures of what happened in the night. You can check that out HERE.

Speaking of weather, Ben tells me we're under a Flash Flood Watch until Saturday night. He expects more storms later today – some could be severe with hail and damaging winds. At noon, Ben will update our rain totals and have more on what we can expect this weekend and the week ahead.  In the meantime, you can always access the latest weather information HERE.

Also today, thousands of Americans lose their homes to fires each year. What if it happened to you? Find out why its so important to know what your insurance covers before its too late.

Plus, a museum you can really sink your teeth into has a new mouth-watering display. We'll show you a place some say has the largest collection of hamburger memorabilia in the world.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and have a great day!

Through the day today expect hot and mostly sunny conditions. Feels-like temperatures expected to reach between 100-105 this afternoon. I can’t rule out a pop-up afternoon shower, but chances remain low. Most of us will remain dry through the day today and overnight.
