Accused child predator arrested outside restaurant

A sting by Gladewater police put an East Texas man behind bars.

On Wednesday, police were alerted by a 13-year old girl's parents, who said 40-year old Shawn Glidden sent her inappropriate messages on Facebook.

An officer then went on the site, posing as the girl, and replied to those messages. Police say Glidden eventually agreed to a meeting.

Late Thursday afternoon, plainclothes officers were at Bodacious BBQ in Gladewater, the alleged meeting site, when Glidden pulled up in his truck. Glidden was quickly arrested on a charge of online solicitation of a minor. His bond was set at $75,000.
