LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Arrangements still are being made to return a 43-year-old Youngsville man who skipped out of his trial in March on vehicular homicide charges.

Assistant District Attorney J.N. Prather tells The Advertiser (http://bit.ly/10lXeCI ) on Monday the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to find an independent contractor to return Wade Lohse to Lafayette, rather than the more costly prospect of sending local authorities to Pennsylvania to retrieve him.

Lohse is accused of being involved in a June 10 crash that killed 29-year-old Cacie Barras McGrew, of Lafayette.

He walked away March 25 from the 15th Judicial District Courthouse in Lafayette just before the start of his trial.

Lohse was arrested three weeks later outside a bar in Philadelphia and waived extradition on Thursday.
