Felons 'S.N.A.P.-ing' up the benefits?

Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

How are drug felons reaping state benefits? We'll tell you about a legislative audit of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program that claims dozens of felons received SNAP benefits. Read more HERE.

Also today, a small device that adds convenience in the kitchen could be a hazard to small children. We'll have a warning if you're using the "baby bullet" food chopper.

Do you have excess skin hanging from your arms? Many folks do, and it seems many folks are opting to get rid of it. You can see more about it HERE.

Plus, no "good humor" for the ice cream man. A rivalry between ice cream trucks is causing a neighborhood turf war.

In weather, Ben tells me record cold temperatures kicked off the work-week with our previous record of a low of 51 shattered. However, we'll have lots sunshine today that will quickly warm us up to the upper 70's. It will be cool again tonight, but not like last night, and Ben says we'll have warmer temperatures this week. How warm will it go, and will there be a chance of rain this week? Get all the answers in Ben's live, local forecast at noon.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us.  Have a great day!
