Local authorities help find abducted child

JEFF DAVIS PARISH, LA (KPLC) - According to Louisiana State Police Sergeant James Anderson, local authorities were contacted by Houston Police looking for a missing child.

Houston Police said the child was taken by his non-custodial father from Fairfax County in Virginia.

Houston police became involved when the father was believed to be in the area. Local authorities were contacted after receiving a lead that the father may be in the area.

After issuing a "be on the look out" for the vehicle, Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's deputies located the vehicle on Interstate 10.
