Business Health Partners holds jambalaya cookoff

SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

Business Health Partners on Cities Service Highway in Sulphur held its first jambalaya cookoff on Friday.

Nine area cooking teams from business and industry competed. 

Entries varied from pork and sausage to crab and shrimp. Jambalaya had to be prepared on-site.

Proceeds from entry fees and donations go to City of Refuge Shelter for homeless veterans in Vinton.

Judges included Mayors Kenny Stinson and Chris Duncan, Police Juror Hal McMillin, Eligha Guillory with the City of Lake Charles and KPLC's John Bridges.
