LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A hearing resumed Wednesday morning in the case against a former Catholic priest accused of sex crimes against children.

Judge David Ritchie denied a defense motion to suppress detectives' video interview with Mark Broussard. The interview was conducted in March 2012.

The move allows the video to be used against Broussard during trial.

The judge also found that Broussard was properly advised of his rights.

The charges against Broussard include two counts of aggravated rape and one count each of aggravated oral sexual battery, oral sexual battery and molestation of a juvenile.

KPLC's Theresa Schmidt is at the hearing and will have more on later editions.
