LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A Holocaust survivor told his story in Lake Charles on Tuesday.
Irving Roth was only 14 when he was sent to the Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz during the Holocaust.
Roth endured many hardships, from the murder of some of his family members within 24 hours of arriving at the camp to living in fear of not knowing if he was going to survive another day.
After overcoming adversity, he now shares his experiences in an attempt to educate people about what happened and to show what can occur whenever hatred is allowed to take control of our lives.
See the attached video for more of his story.
