Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

The U.S. Supreme Court dismisses an appeal from a Louisiana man who claimed the state's failure to pay lawyers for indigent defenders can violate the guarantee of a speedy trial. The local case involved Jonathan Boyer and his conviction on murder charges.

Also today, we'll show you how some people are turning to Mother Nature for relief from severe allergies. It seems a teaspoon of local honey a day may keep the doctor away.

Plus, a police department fed up with accidental and non-emergency calls to 9-1-1 is taking a different approach. We'll show you how they are educating people and how the plan is working.

In weather, sunshine returns after early  morning fog, bringing with it afternoon highs into the 80's. Will we have more fog in the morning, and what about our chances of rain for the rest of the week? Find out during Ben's live, local forecast at noon.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and have a great day.
