Trial for husband accused of killing wife to resume

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*The trial for a Lake Charles man charged with his wife's murder is scheduled to resume today.  We'll bring you up to speed on the case involving Dale Winters.

*A fire at a vacant home in Lake Charles spreads to a neighboring home, giving residents asleep inside only minutes to get out.  We talk to those involved, saying they lost everything but their lives.

*Governor Bobby Jindal presented his budget for the new fiscal year at the start of the 2013 session.  This morning, the work begins in earnest to make the numbers add up.

*The Contraband Days Festival kicks off this week!  We'll have a live interview with Dean Day about what's in store.

    A single-vessel boating accident on the Sabine River near Niblett's Bluff Park Sunday evening has resulted in two children being seriously injured, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. The injured children have been taken to the hospital, and one child is in critical condition, said Lt. Beau Robertson, LDWF spokesman.
