PINEVILLE, La. (AP) - A $5 million donor says he's not giving any more money to Louisiana College because President Joe Aguillard used nearly $60,000 given to its divinity school for projects in the African country of Tanzania.
Edgar Cason wrote members of the private Baptist college's board, saying believes that Aguillard acted unethically and possibly illegally.
The newspaper also reports (http://townta.lk/ZQiQqH ) that a law firm reported that Aguillard lied and misrepresented important information to the board "on countless occasions" but a board committee disagrees.
The board chairman hired the law firm after two college vice presidents filed whistleblower complaints against Aguillard.
Aguillard told newspaper that a special board committee exonerated him after reviewing the report plus information that was not given to the lawyers.
