Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

The case of ex-priest Mark Broussard is in a Lake Charles courtroom today. KPLC's Theresa Schmidt reports one main issue involves a request for a bond reduction. We expect an update for you at noon.

Also today, a sick third-grader won't miss a moment of class with her friends, thanks to her new robot. It's all part of a pilot program to help homebound students.

Plus, a 19-year-old from Houston made the catch of a lifetime during his Make-a-Wish Foundation trip to Hawaii. Hear his big fish story about landing a real whopper!

We had some heavy thunderstorms earlier, along with a rapid drop in temperature. Ben says any additional showers will not be severe, but we can expect the clouds to hang around at least thru the afternoon. What can we expect temperature-wise this evening, and what about tomorrow? Look for the answers during Ben's live, local forecast at noon, and remember, you can always access weather information HERE.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and we hope you have a good day!

"That doesn't surprise me," said Alex Allemond. "I meet a lot of people at my job and they don't like Louisiana." The study's quality of life score is 87 out of 300 points, a score Louisiana resident Jeff Staples disagrees with. "I think the quality of life is great," he said.
