CROWLEY, LA (KPLC) - A Crowley man is accused in a murder case, according to a news release from the Crowley Police Department.
Clyde Milstead III, 28, is accused in the shooting death of 21-year-old Jerrell Andrus, also of Crowley.
Milstead has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on a second-degree murder charge.
Authorities said police responded to the shooting on Sunday in the 400 block of West 9th Street. It happened around 9 a.m.
Authorities said upon arrival, officers discovered that Andrus had been shot in the head during a disturbance.
The victim was transported to a Lafayette Hospital where he died Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
"The investigation, at this point, reveals that an argument occurred between the victim and suspect inside the residence. During the disturbance, the suspect retrieved a firearm and shot the victim," said Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson.
