CROWLEY, LA (KPLC) -

An Estherwood man is accused of making a bomb threat at the Crowley Walgreens, according to a news release from the Crowley Police Department.

Arrested in the case was 32-year-old Sy Suire.

Suire was taken into custody with the assistance of the Estherwood Police and was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on one count of terrorizing.

Crowley authorities said on Sunday, officers responded and management advised that Suire was asked to leave the due to a previous incident at the store.

Authorities said that he left prior to officers' arrival and allegedly made comments about a bomb to the store's manager.

"Our officers went through the building and confirmed there was no device inside," said Police Chief K.P. Gibson. "We take these threats serious and even though the majority are false, we choose not to place our businesses or citizens in harm's way."
