CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

A 14-year-old student has been booked on terrorizing after allegedly making threats toward students and faculty at Barbe High School.

According to a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, authorities said an investigation revealed that an account was created on Instagram, a photo sharing program, which reportedly showed pictures of the school and students.

Authorities said it reportedly contained comments that threatened the safety of those at the school. The threat, according to authorities, was to be carried out on Monday.

"During further investigation, detectives tracked the origin of the I.P. address back to a 14-year-old student who attends Barbe High School," authorities said in the release.

Authorities said the juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

"At this stage of the investigation, detectives have not found that the 14-year-old student had any intent or ability to carry out the act and the security of the school was not in any danger," authorities said.

CPSO Detective Brent Young is the lead investigator on the case.
