Onboard computers stolen from 18-wheelers in Rayne

The following is a news release from Crimestoppers of Acadia Parish:

Crimestoppers of Acadia Parish and the Rayne Police Department are seeking a suspect or suspects who stole nine onboard computers valued at $3,000 each from 18-wheel tractor trailer rigs at Stallion Oilfield Services, located at 402 Service Road in Rayne.

The thefts, totaling about $27,000, occurred on March 8-10 and involved Kenworth and International Trucks. The stolen computers run the trucks and were mounted under the hood in the engine compartment of the trucks.

If you have any information about the identity of the suspect(s) or the location of the computers, call Acadia Crimestoppers at 789-(TIPS), 789-8477. Callers will remain anonymous and could receive up to a $1,000 cash reward.
