Stark wins constable seat in Beauregard, fire proposal approved

Leonard "Pard" Stark won the constable, Justice of the Peace seat in District 2 in Beauregard on Saturday.

Stark had 90.96 percent, or 121 votes in the race. Kenneth Evans had 16 votes or 9.04 percent in the race.

Additionally, voters in Beauregard's Fire Protection District 4 have approved a 24.52 mills, 15-year proposal for that district.

For it were 106 voters, or 68.39 percent. Against it were 49 voters or 31.61 percent.
