SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

The following is a news release from the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau:

The 5th Annual Tour du Rouge will be held May 5-10, with cyclists traveling from Houston to New Orleans and taking a pit stop in Sulphur on May 6.

The purpose of the tour is to raise awareness and money for American Red Cross services across the Gulf Coast.

Volunteers are currently being sought for the Sulphur stop.

Duties will include serving refreshments and cheering on the participants.
