JEFF DAVIS PARISH, LA (KPLC) - A Lake Arthur man is accused of child pornography possession.

According to a news release from Louisiana State Police, on Feb. 20, agents with the State Police's Bureau of Investigations as well as U.S. Homeland Security executed a search warrant at the home of 45-year-old Paul Gilbert Broussard II.

Authorities said at the time of the search, computers were seized for a forensic examination.

Authorities said the warrant was the result of an Operation Child Watch investigation initiated by State Police detectives.

Broussard was arrested Wednesday. During an interview with detectives, authorities said Broussard admitted to downloading child pornography.

Broussard was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish Jail for possession of child pornography.
