Comeback Cowgirls Beat South Dakota, Advance To WBI Championship

The McNeese Cowgirls seem to like life on the road.

A bus trip to Georgia and North Carolina resulted in two wins in the Women's Basketball Invitational,

And that led to a plane ride to South Dakota for tonight's semifinal matchup against the Lady Coyotes.

1st half, Caitlyn Baggett at the point, she drives inside and scores 2 of her 19. McNeese down 3.

But South Dakota responds. Nicole Seekamp, a sophomore from Australia, hits 2 of her team-high 20 pts. And the Lady Coyotes lead by 10.

Cowgirls go inside. Cecilia Okoye hits the jumper from the lane, she had 14, and McNeese cuts into that lead.

Then, Allison Baggett hits the runner. She had 8.

Ashlyn Baggett had 26 and the comeback kids do it again. McNeese State wins 71-63 and they move on to the championship game of the WBI.
