LEESVILLE, LA (KPLC) -

The KPLC 7 Stormteam will be at the Leesville Walgreens on Thursday, March 28.

The store is located at 2008 South 5th Street.

The team will be at the store from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be able to program weather radios.

A NOAA Weather Radio is the best way to get weather information to you during severe weather; especially warnings about severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.

The weather radio will alarm, any time, day or night, if a watch or warning is issued for any parish it is programmed for.

Once the radio alarms, that is your signal to turn on your television to KPLC for more information.

This is all part of the KPLC 7 Stormteam's commitment of helping you stay ahead of severe weather that could threaten our area at any time.

The weather radios are for sale at all area Walgreens locations for a cost of $34.99, plus tax. That cost includes a set of AA batteries to get you started.

The radios are programmable down to the parish level and will only alert you if the warning is for the parish in which you live.
