Sulphur man arraigned in January shooting

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) - A Sulphur man accused of shooting and wounding his father was arraigned on one count of attempted second-degree murder on Monday in 14th Judicial District Court in Calcasieu Parish.

Chad Dean Peshoff, 42, was indicted on the charge earlier this month.

Peshoff entered a plea of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity.

The shooting happened Jan. 25 at a home on Bankens Road in Sulphur.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Anti-Crime and Tactics (ACT) Team responded.
