McNeese Softball defeats Southeastern today in Game One of their series against the Lady Lions. Game two has been delayed until tomorrow.

This means that their will be a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 1.

Sunday's doubleheader has been designated as "Military Appreciation Day." U.S. veterans of any military service branch, or active duty military personnel, will receive free admission along with a guest. The McNeese softball team will also recognize the military personnel as they'll be asked to join both team on the field during the National Anthem.

Sergeant Shelton Ashworth of Starks and a McNeese graduate, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Sgt. Ashworth served in the U.S. Army from July 1969 to July 1973 and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was injured in action on May 7, 1970 when he fell victim to a claymore mine.

Festivities for the military personnel will begin at noon while the on-field ceremonies at approximately 12:45.
