Iowa woman booked on 375 counts of obtaining CDS by fraud

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

An Iowa woman has been booked on 375 counts of obtaining CDS by fraud, according to a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.

Sherri J. Logan, 43, is accused of obtaining over 28,385 prescription pills fraudulently by utilizing numerous blank prescriptions from a doctor that she worked for since 2001.

Logan is also accused of calling out numerous prescriptions to local pharmacies without the doctor's authorization.

Logan was arrested Thursday by the Sheriff's Office vice detectives.

She was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 375 counts of obtaining CDS by fraud and 193 counts of prohibited acts all schedules.

Judge Robert Wyatt set bond in the case at $30,000.
