Arrest Made In Triple Murder

Hello everyone. This is Cynthia Arceneaux from the KPLC Newsroom. Police have made an arrest in Wednesday night's triple homicide in North Lake Charles. 18 year old Armonta Hadnot is in custody. Police say the arrest came last night after they spotted his vehicle on Gieffers Street in Lake Charles. Police say he fled the scene on foot after being spotted by a sheriff's deputy. He was arrested in the 1400 block of St. John Street.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's officials say an 18 year old has been arrested in connection with a so-called "hit list" found circulating at Barbe High School. Deputies say Patrick Granger was arrested today in connection with the list which contained the names of several students and faculty member. Granger says he only intended the list as a prank. But it's a prank that's landed him in jail. He's been booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center, charged with terrorizing. These stories and more on Live At Five and 7news At Six.
