Lake Charles Police News Conference

Hello everyone. This is Cynthia Arceneaux from the KPLC Newsroom. The Lake Charles Police Department is getting ready for a 4:00 news conference on the triple murder that happened last night in North Lake Charles. It happened at McMillan Park on Goos Boulevard. Police will have all the details during that news conference which will be carried live on KPLCTV.Com at 4 PM. Tune in to Live At Five and 7news At Six for further details.

Today marked the end of the public comment period for the army's proposed cutbacks to personnel at Fort Polk. The army had proposed reducing troop and civilian jobs by more than 5,000. Local and regional community leaders fear that could cause a major economic impact to Southwest Louisiana.

And Wade Hampton will let us know if the beautiful spring weather will continue... Or is there rain in the near future? Join us tonight.
