Four people reportedly shot near Lake Charles apartment complex

Good Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Lake Charles Police say four people were shot near an apartment complex around 11:30 last night.  Corporal Larry Moss says it happened near Sunlight Manor Apartments off Winterhalter Street.  Eyewitnesses tell 7News three people were killed.  We're following this story and will bring you updates.

*A longtime environmentalist fighting for clean water has gone to federal court, seeking to improve drinking water for people served by Beauregard Parish Water District #3.

*Former LSU stand-out Charles Scott has been found not guilty of sexual battery in Gonzales.  Scott explains where he goes from here.

*Hypothermia is being used intentionally in some local hospitals to treat cardiac patients.  In this morning's Healthcast, I'll explain how cooling the body's core temperature to 91 degrees can protect brain tissue from dying.

*The Calcasieu Preservation Society's Tour of Homes is this Sunday and will lead you along Shell Beach Drive in Lake Charles.  We'll have a live interview this morning about the history of some of those homes and what else is in store for this weekend's event.
