Local crackdown on smoking in vehicles when kids are present

Happy Wednesday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead today on Sunrise:

*The Sulphur Police Department is cracking down on a state law that prohibits people from smoking in vehicles when children are inside of them.  The law applies to any child under the age of 13.  Find out how they're enforcing the law.

*We will learn more this morning about the reopening of Millennium Park in Lake Charles.  City officials will hold a news briefing this morning and offer a walk-through.

*Happening this afternoon, the public can get updates and get the latest information about the proposed troop reduction at Fort Polk.  Find out the meeting details and who's invited to attend.

*In Vernon Parish, Sheriff's deputies want your help solving some thefts in the Evans area.  There is a reward being offered to find some copper thieves.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry says we could see a little rain this morning.  He'll have the forecast, including weather on the 7s.
