CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -
A man who shot another man during a suspected home invasion in Vinton will not stand trial.
The Calcasieu Grand Jury on Thursday decided not to indict Stephen Starring.
Investigators said Starring shot Dillon Worthy during a home invasion and robbery attempt in December.
Worthy was indicted Thursday in the case, along with Joseph Batiste. They both face home invasion, aggravated second-degree battery and attempted armed robbery charges.
Additionally on Thursday, in a separate case, Ashaki Okung Kelly , 37, was indicted for aggravated rape (three counts), oral sexual battery (two counts), stemming from alleged incidents from 2008 to 2012.
The alleged victims are two children, both under the age of 13
