Nine indicted in armed robberies of Radio Shack stores

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

There were nine grand jury indictments on Thursday in 14th Judicial District Court stemming from the armed robberies of Radio Shack stores in Sulphur and Lake Charles.

Jason Rashad Barnes, 21; James Undra Cooper, 21; Christian E. Earvin, 24; Stacey Parker, 24; and Dariana Bridges, 20; all of Texas, were indicted on seven counts of armed robbery with a firearm.

Elvis Lusk, 26; Michael Gerard Holmes, 26; Jarvis Hodge, 27; and Diego Chapman, 20; also of Texas, were indicted on four counts of armed robbery with a firearm.

Additionally, Barnes, Cooper, Earvin, Parker, Holmes, Hodge, Chapman and Bridges were indicted for conspiracy armed robbery with a firearm.

Sulphur Police Chief Lewis Coats said the armed robbery happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. Jan. 24.

The robbery of the Lake Charles store also happened Jan. 24, according to authorities.

Some of the suspects are also accused in robberies of some Radio Shack stores in Texas.
