The following is a press release from the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office:
A 20-yea-old Crowley man has died, the result of a single-vehicle accident shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, the accident occurred in the 1500 block of Lovell Street in Crowley and was reported around 3:47 p.m.
Sheriff Melancon has identified the victim as Seth Courville.
Investigating officers advised that according to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when he overcorrected and hit a ditch.
The Acadia Parish Coroner's Office pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
