After an upset loss to Central Arkansas last weekend, the McNeese Cowgirls dropped back into 5th place in the Southland Conference standings.

But a win on Thursday would guarantee our ladies of McNeese a top 4 finish in the regular season and a first-round bye in next week's Southland tournament.

And the Cowgirls did just that, rolling over Southeastern 79-55 in Hammond. Ashlyn Baggett led the way with 19 points and McNeese still has a chance at the regular season title.

The Cowboys did not fare as well, they lost 79-68 to the Lions. They are now 6-and-11 in Southland play.
