LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -
Plans were unveiled Wednesday for the upcoming Chennault Air Show.
The air show is planned for the end of September.
Chennault and community leaders gathered Wednesday morning to announce the lineup of the show.
The two-day event will include a demonstration by the Canadian Air Force's F-18 Team. There will be family-friendly "kid's zone" and more.
Megan McLelland, air show director, said while it's been on a two-year hiatus, demand from the public actually influenced them to bring the event back to be bigger and better than ever.
"We get the hint. We're going to do it big. We're going to bring back the tradition back into Lake Charles in the tradition of the national circuit of air shows," she said.
The Chennault Air Show is scheduled for Sept. 28-29.
Children age five and under will be admitted for free.
